Representative Rick Boucher's (D-VA) HR-107 is making its way through the House after being introduced last year. Called the "Digital Media Consumers' Rights Act of 2003", this thing attempts to make it legal for consumers to bypass copyright protection measures in order to do otherwise legal things (like play DVDs on Linux, or make backups of games).

This definitely deserves some support. Use the official House website to find your local representative, and send him/her a letter (or a phone call).
