Republican Congressional Staffers Spied on Democrats' Files

According to the Boston Globe, it has recently come to light that Republican staffers of the Senate Judiciary Committee have been secretly infiltrating the computer systems of Democrats, reading internal memos and strategy papers, and intentionally leaking them to the press.

Apparently, the breaches were enabled by exploiting a computer glitch in the Committee's systems, and lasted for more than a year before being detected.

Note that no Senators have been accused of any wrongdoing here. It was the staffers that were doing the spying.
